Ways to Help Your Child

Read to your child every day.  Talk to them about the pictures.  Ask them what do you think is going to happen?  Call to their attention  that the pictures give clues  to what  the words might say.

A variety of books will help their vocabulary  and comprehension grow.

As soon as the children know their letters and sounds they can be encouraged to sound out simpler words.

Practice sight word lists..

Games and  educational  activities on the computer (if one is available)
